My son Jamie has gone travelling in india for a few months and left me his 1999 epi les paul and fender tele custom to look after. The guitars definitely needed some attention after living in student digs ... so over to Tom to work his magic. Wow, what a result. They both now play like a dream.

He has done it again. I took my Ibby 1570 to Tom to have two new Kent Armstrong pickups fitted. A ‘Rocker’ in the neck and a single coil, dual rail mini humbucker for the middle. I am very happy with the whole range of new sounds I have to play with. As always a superb job with the guitar coming back with the ultra low action I like, absolutely spot on, the trem perfectly balanced and the neck feeling like silk.
Cheers Tom

Having found toms guitars by chance, I trusted him with my vintage bass which has a lot of sentimental value but was totally unplayerble.
When I picked it up from Tom, he had transformed it beyond belief! It now plays with a true beautiful sound and looks the part too.
I wld highly recommend his work, service and care he takes with attention to detail.
Finding a guitar tech with experience, skill, knowledge and who genuinely treats your guitar/s with as much care as you do are few and far between. With Tom King you get all the above. Tom set up two of my guitars and I can honestly say they have never played better.
PROBABLY THE BEST GUITAR WORKSHOP. I WOULD RATE 10/10 FOR THE GOOD CUSTOMER SERVICE I EVER HAD. WHAT MORE CAN I SAY JUST TRY THEM ONCE AND YOU WILL FOREVER REMEMBER THE GOOD SERVICE PROVIDED BY THEM. THANKS A LOT GUYS. I WOULD PERSONALLY LIKE TO THANK MR TOM FOR TAKING ALL THE TROUBLE.

I had Tom wire a DiMarzio Evolution Bridge pickup into my Fender Jag-Stang. He did a great job, it sounds exactly how I want it and I'm thankful for his work. I would use him again and recommend him to anyone :)
Thanks!

I recently bought a guitar from Tom as an ebay auction for an insanely cheap price.
I honestly believe that is not possible to get a better guitar for the money i paid.
the guitar had much heavier strings than i am used to but i think i may have been converted to light 11's as it plays so well.

I first used Tom for the setting up of my acoustic guitar. He has also recently wired in two Kent Armstrong pick ups into a kit-form guitar that I assembled myself and he did the final set-up and finishing touches to make it play well. I have been very pleased with the turn-around time and service and would highly recommend his work.
Excellent customer service and fast turn around!! My Gibson Les Paul had not been serviced for 17 years, lots of fret buzz, collapsing bridge and looking sad. After Tom worked his magic its like playing a new guitar and looks fantastic again. All done within 24 hours and at a great price.
Many thanks!

Many thaks for fixing both the Strat and the BC Rich. They are now both playing so well the Les Paul is gathering dust. The Strat's action is great with no buzzing all the way up to 21st fret. The new pick ups sound brilliant. My son has been divebombing with the wammy bar on the BC Rich and it is staying in tune. Great job.

I had sold my Taylor 110 and replaced it with a new Guild DV6, a better solid wood design. It sounded good but something was missing. After a set up by Tom the instrument now knocks the spots off of my old Taylor. I would avise anyone to invest in a set up. It is a few quid well spent that you won't regret and will give you pleasure for many years!

Excellent, friendly, speedy service. Had two guitars repaired and a full set up on one which came back better than new. A very noticeable difference and it's now that much more a joy to play. Very reasonable prices as well.
Will definitely be my first choice whenever i need more work done :D

After a long search I found Tom hiding in Seal. I have an Ibanez 1570 that needed setting up. I had finally found a luthier that was prepared to listen to what I wanted rather than tell me what I needed. I was looking for a fret job and full set up to get an ultra low action for shredding. Tom very patiently over a three sessions setup, then tweaked the guitar and its now perfect. I can recommend Tom without hesitation for his skill, patience, professionalism and for being exceptional value for money. He will be doing all my guitars in future.
I called Tom to discuss my Epiphone SG cracked neck problem and I found his advice and service extremely professional. I will not hesitate in contacting Tom again for all of my future guitar needs.
Mike.

Thanks, Tom. My 339 now plays more sweetly thanks to your work on the nut and the machine heads. For anyone thinking of having work done on their guitars: Take it to Tom - for fast friendly and reasonably priced service. What more could you ask!

I found Tom on a Google search and took a relatively old mid-price guitar to him for a minor repair and a setup as I needed it as a spare. For a very reasonable price it has come out of his workshop as a more playable and better sounding guitar than I could remember it having been for years, if at all, and I'll be using it a lot more. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Tom's repair services.

Tom was recommended to me by a friend, who knows guitars, to get some work done on mine. He was fantastic, he phoned me up to talk and walk me through everything he was doing, it was the personal touch that really did it for me because like most musicians your instrument is everything, it really let me know it was in good hands, i have the upmost confidence in Tom, the job he did on my Fender Jazz was fantastic, it sounds incredible and looks amazing! I will definately be returning to him for work on my other guitars. Daniel Mackey (23yr's old, bassist/singer of The Startover).

I wouldn't trust my guitars with anyone else. Tom has an attention to
detail far superior than anybody I've trusted my guitars with before not
to mention a genuine enthusiasm for working with guitars. Great after
care and a pleasure to work with. Cheers Tom, you're a legend!

I had spent month's and month's taking my Les Paul to various local shops. No matter what they had tried it still buzzed, rattled at the action was still high and unplayable.
After all this bad luck, a friend of mind recommended Tom's Guitars to me. I have to say I have had no regrets, I turned up and with in minutes the problem was discovered, I left my guitar with Tom. Two days later and one fret-dress later I received a phone call. I went and collected it, it's fantastic for first time in years I'm actually gigging with it.
Great fast, and friendly service. Thank you Tom. Shall definitely be using this service again.
